Flight Instruction
MM Airshows provides flight instruction in the best aircraft available, the Extra 300L. This strong, two-seat airplane was designed and built exclusively for aerobatics. This airplane also has a superb safety record and is a proven performer. The best part is anyone can take a flight lesson with us; all experience levels are welcome! Several different individual lessons are available and multiple flight packages can be customized to your specific goals. All lessons include pre and post flight briefings, a personalized certificate, and photos of your experience will be posted on our website. Introductory Flight Lesson-Starting at $275
Have you ever dreamed of flying? Make your first airplane flight truly spectacular! You'll learn the basics about how to control an airplane and have the option of experiencing some basic aerobatics. In most cases, you'll have the option of performing some rolls and loops yourself. Mike Bellenir will guide you through an experience you'll never forget. No previous experience required! Flight is approximately 20-25 minutes.
Introduction to Aerobatics-Starting at $275
Any pilot who hasn't experienced the challenges and rewards of aerobatic flight will enjoy this memorable flight. An introduction to aerobatics is also a great learning experience. You'll receive ground and flight instruction on how to perform basic aerobatic maneuvers including loops, rolls, hammerheads, cubans, immelmanns, and more! Flight is approximately 20-25 minutes.
Emergency Maneuvering & Unusual Attitude Recovery Training-Starting at $350
What do you do if you get flipped over by wake-turbulence, extreme weather, or find yourself looking at a lot of ground when you weren't expecting too? It's one thing to talk about it, it's completely different to experience it. This course emphasizes giving you valuable experience regaining positive control in a safe environment. Once you've spent some time getting valuable training and experience, enjoy some basic aerobatics on your way back to the airport. Flight is approximately 40-45 minutes.
Spin & Spin Recovery Training-Starting at $350
Ever been in a spin? This lesson covers advanced stalls and spin recovery techniques that could save your life. Learn how fly through a spin and you'll greatly improve your stall recognition skills, proper aircraft control, and reaction time. After a sequence of several different spins, try some basic aerobatics on the way back to the airport. Flight is approximately 40-45 minutes.
Flight Instructor Candidate Spin Endorsement-***$500 Special Package Deal
If you're working towards becoming an FAA certified flight instructor, you'll need a spin endorsement for eligibility under FAR Part 61. This course is specially designed for flight instructor candidates who need to be instructionally proficient and competent in spins. This course covers stalls, advanced stalls, spin procedures, and techniques for teaching these maneuvers safely. This deluxe course includes two flights in the Extra 300 and about an hour of ground instruction. Because we're so committed to aviation safety and we know flight instructors play a vital role in safety, we've priced this course below the normal rate to encourage future CFIs to take advantage of our high-quality program.
Customized Flight Instruction
Do you have a different set of aviation goals that you are working to achieve? Custom flight training packages are available to suit your specific requirements. Cost for custom flight training is will vary depending on your specifications, but to help you estimate here are some basic cost approximations (Aircraft price wet):
Extra 300: Approximately $400-425/Hour depending on fuel cost in your area.
Flight Instruction/Ground Instruction: $50/Hour
Flight Instruction in non-MM Airshows aircraft: $75/Hour (restrictions may apply, contact us for details)
Additional Options
In-Flight Video. Add a DVD of your flight to your lesson: $40
Fly with Mike Mancuso. At selected locations, you might be able to fly with airshow performer Mike Mancuso, add $100 to base price.
